Whichford Kitchen – A Warm, Country Kitchen in the Cotswolds

About This Project

Set in a characterful Cotswold cottage, this bespoke kitchen combines natural materials with quiet elegance. A large stained oak island sits at the heart of the space, surrounded by hand-painted shaker cabinetry in soft off-white. Marble worktops reflect the gentle light that fills the room, and glazed doors lead through to a utility area, keeping the layout open and flowing. It’s a kitchen that feels grounded, calm, and made for slow mornings.

Working in collaboration with designer Millie Turner, the aim was to create a kitchen that felt rooted in its setting while still feeling fresh and inviting. The oak island brings warmth and weight to the room — beautifully grained, practical, and full of character — while the surrounding cabinetry keeps the space light and balanced. From the soft marble surfaces to the glazed doors, every detail was considered to support a relaxed, welcoming flow.
