Felden Street Kitchen – A Sociable Family Kitchen in Fulham
About This Project
Designed for a Victorian terrace home in Fulham, this modular shaker kitchen is all about bringing people together. A large island sits at the centre of the space, with seating for four — ideal for casual family breakfasts or drinks with friends. The two-tone colour palette pairs off-white cabinetry with rich navy for contrast and balance. Grooved island panels add texture, while quartz worktops keep the look clean and refined. Every element was chosen to be both practical and welcoming.
Key Project Details
Location: Fulham, London
Kitchen Style: Original Range modular shaker
Layout: L-shaped with large central island
Materials: Painted hardwood, quartz worktop
Appliances: Integrated fridge-freezer, range cooker
Special Touches: Grooved island panels, Corston handles, two-tone palette
This kitchen needed to work hard for a family that loves to cook and host. We focused on clarity and contrast — light cabinetry keeps things bright, while navy elements ground the room and provide definition. The island acts as a social hub and a practical workspace, and refined details like Corston hardware and vertical grooves keep the design visually interesting without feeling overworked.
