Curzon Road Kitchen - A Light-Filled Kitchen in Muswell Hill

Designed for a young family in Muswell Hill, this kitchen is full of warmth and natural texture. Cabinetry painted in Farrow and Ball Joa's White creates a soft, creamy backdrop, while the oak island adds natural character to the room. Arabescato Verde quartz worktops and a tall splashback add a touch of drama, and Corston antique brass ironmongery ties everything together.

About This Project

The brief was for a light, welcoming kitchen where the family could cook, gather and spill out into the garden. Placing the induction hob on the island, with its integrated downdraft extractor, kept the sightlines open, so whoever is cooking can chat to friends perched on the stools. Smeg ovens are tucked into the tall run beside generous storage, while a deep Butler & Rose Belfast sink sits beneath an antique brass bridge tap and matching hot water tap. Along the back wall, countertop cupboards with ribbed glass doors add a lovely glint of texture. Our favourite detail? The slim oak shelf above the splashback, home to the family's cork collection!
