Berwyn Road Kitchen - A Beautiful Kitchen in Herne Hill
Designed for a family in Herne Hill, this kitchen has a wonderful walnut island and traditional shaker cabinetry in Little Greene Travertine Mid in the kitchen area. Towards the garden area, we created a special walnut bar area where the cabinetry is in Little Greene Olive. The veined worktops and antique brass fittings tie everything together.
About This Project
The brief was for a kitchen built around cooking and hosting, with its own bar area and additional cabinetry in a bootroom and tv area. We kept the range on the main run beneath a painted extractor box with a cornice. The walnut island is a special one - it holds the sink, with a wine fridge set into its end facing the dining table. That freed the bar’s base run for two pull-out walnut drawers that hold bottles, while reeded-glass wall units flank open wine racks and a stemware rail.
